Children and family Open Karting (1+
drivers) for 8 to 15 year olds

Required
All drivers must at least 8 years old and be a minimum of 4’6” tall (137cms). There must be at least one junior driver in the family or group to book a children and family session.

Junior drivers (aged 8-15) and their family members can drive on the circuit in open, timed driving sessions; perfect if you want to find out who the fastest member of the family is (no pressure Mom and Dad!). Open timed driving sessions means that parents and older siblings can drive together with their younger junior family members and other ‘like-minded’ groups at the same time!

Children will get 30 mins track time. This is normally done in 2 x 15 min sessions, with a quick break in between to give us time to check you’re all okay and to give any advice and coaching tips. At the end of the session you will each receive a lap time print out to show who is the fastest driver and who rules the track!

If you’re feeling more energetic, and think you’re good enough to handle it, you can also book 60 mins of track time to really push you – can you cope with the required endurance? This session is split. The splits will depend on the make up of the group and will be decided by the Race Director. The split sessions can be done in either 4 x 15 mins, 3 x 20 mins or 2 x 30 mins sessions.

Junior drivers (aged 8 to 13 years old) in the group will use either the 160cc or 200cc karts, depending on their size and height, and 14 year + adult drivers in the group will use either our 200cc or 270cc karts on the track.

There can be up to 18 drivers in total on the track at any one time, made up of other families or like-minded groups.

Adults Open Karting  (14 years and older)

Required
Drivers must be at least 14 years old and a minimum of 5’ (152cm) tall.

After completing the safety briefing drivers will make their way to the pit lane for their adult karting book and drive session. Groups and individuals are put together to make up groups of up to 18 drivers. Drivers will use either a race tuned Biz Evo 200cc or a 270cc kart to compete in either a 30 or 60 min karting session.

These are normally run in 30 min sessions but will sometimes be spilt into 15 mins or 20 mins sessions. This will be decided by the Race Director on the day and will depend on group type and make up, and also to allow feedback and coaching.

Lap times will be available at reception on a personal print out for you after the race.
